Course Curriculum
- The foundational courses required for Cybersecurity, like Programming, Operating
Systems, Databases, and Networking, are taught in the first and second academic
years.
- The cybersecurity program consists of a total of eight courses taught in the
third and fourth years, along with one main project
- In the fifth semester, students are introduced to what is called "Security
Mindset" in the course "Introduction to Security" and "Fundamentals of AL/ML"
- It involves thinking like an adversary to make or break things in a variety of
ways.
- Along with that students are exposed to security at the application level
through the course "Software Application Security"
- In the sixth semester, students are taught about security from a computing
system and network view in courses "Software Systems Security" and "Network
Security".
- Along with that they are introduced to how AI can be used as a tool for
detecting and thwarting security attacks
- In the seventh semester, students are exposed to various aspects of Internet
Security in the course "Internet Security", how to defend information systems in
the course "Securing Information Systems", taught how to find evidence in crimes
in the course "Computer Forensics"; "Cybersecurity Threat Management" course
teaches them about how to handle a security threat when one happens
