The Student Council functions as a representative body that cultivates leadership, collaboration, and participatory governance. Students are encouraged to take active roles in planning activities, voicing student concerns, and contributing to campus development. Additionally, a diverse range of Clubs—cultural, technical, social, and recreational—provide platforms for creativity, skill-building, and peer learning. Each club operates under a defined framework to ensure meaningful and well-organized activities throughout the academic year.

Grievance Cell

The University’s Grievance Cell offers a transparent and approachable channel for students to report academic or administrative concerns. The cell ensures timely redressal in a fair and confidential manner, reinforcing DYPIU’s commitment to accountability and student welfare.

With a zero-tolerance policy toward ragging and regular awareness initiatives, along with the guidance of faculty mentors assigned to each student group, DYPIU ensures a safe, nurturing, and development-oriented environment. Ombudsman

Prof. Sanjay Deshmukh currently holds the esteemed position of Professor of Life Sciences at Mumbai University and also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. He is a distinguished academic thought leader in India, renowned for his exceptional leadership qualities, commitment to organizational success, and extensive educational background.

As the youngest full-time Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mumbai, Prof. Deshmukh spearheaded its remarkable transformation characterized by transparency and the implementation of global best practices. His focus on skill development and employability aimed to equip students for the professional world.

Prof. Deshmukh’s academic prowess is reflected in his diverse educational qualifications, encompassing degrees in Science and Law. This multidisciplinary approach fuels his innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities, contributing to his exceptional achievements. He has been bestowed with two honorary DSc degrees, recognizing his outstanding academic and administrative reforms at the University of Mumbai and his dedication to applying science and technology for sustainable livelihoods.
