To deliver transformative education in commerce and management by integrating emerging technologies, fostering innovative and critical thinking, promoting interdisciplinary research, and providing experiential learning opportunities. We aim to equip students with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a dynamic, tech-driven global economy.
Urbanization in India is accelerating, leading to shrinking agricultural land, rising food demand, and increasing dependence on rural supply chains. Traditional farming methods are unsustainable in densely populated cities. Vertical farming, a system of growing crops in vertically stacked layers using hydroponics, aeroponics, or aquaponics, offers a sustainable alternative. This research explores the potential of vertical farming at the household level in Indian urban settings to promote self-sufficiency, reduce food miles, and enhance food security.
The research aims to explore contemporary issues and emerging trends within the field of commerce and management through a systematic and analytical approach. The project seeks to integrate theoretical perspectives with practical insights in order to generate research outcomes that can support academic advancement, strategic decision-making, and policy development. By addressing relevant challenges in the evolving economic and organizational environment, the study intends to provide meaningful recommendations for academia, industry, and society. This initiative reflects the university’s strong commitment to promoting research excellence, innovation, and scholarly engagement, while empowering faculty members to undertake impactful research that contributes to academic progress and societal development.
A group of students from CGC had the unique opportunity to participate in a six-week International Business Program in Denmark. The program was designed to provide immersive exposure to the global business environment, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and strategic management.
Throughout the program, students engaged in real-life business cases, applying frameworks and analytical tools such as the Business Model Cube and BeeBoard to solve complex problems. The learning approach emphasized practical knowledge, preparing students to think critically and strategically in real-world.
