DYPIU Represents at the 20th National Convention of UN GCNI on Sustainable Finance Kolkata
On December 12, 2025, Mary Josephine Judy Irudayasamy, Deputy Registrar, represented DY Patil International University (DYPIU) at the 20th National Convention of the UN Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI) held in Kolkata. The Convention, themed “Financing a Sustainable Future: Aligning Capital with Climate, Equity, and Growth,” focused on innovative financing strategies to support India’s transition toward a low-carbon, resilient, and inclusive economy. The Convention was a platform to explore innovative financing mechanisms that can accelerate India’s transition to a low carbon, resilient, and inclusive economy by unlocking and aligning financial capital with national and global development priorities.
The Convention provided an enriching platform to engage in insightful discussions on climate action and equitable growth. It offered a valuable opportunity to interact with distinguished policymakers, investors, financial institutions, corporate leaders, and experts in governance and sustainability. The deliberations underscored the evolving relationship between finance, climate change, and social equity, emphasizing the need for integrated and responsible growth strategies.
