Students learn drawing and anatomy, storyboarding, 2D and 3D animation principles, modelling, texturing, rigging, animation, lighting, compositing, motion graphics, vfx and basics of scriptwriting and cinematography.

The programme typically includes tools such as Autodesk Maya or similar 3D packages, Blender, Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Unity, Unreal Engine and compositing tools like Nuke, depending on the semester.

Students work on short animated films, character animations, motion graphics pieces, VFX shots, title sequences, stop motion animation and a final graduation film or portfolio project.

Graduates can work as 2D/3D Animators, VFX Artists, Compositors, Motion Graphics Designers, Layout Artists, Storyboard Artists, CG Generalists, and Video Editors in studios, TV, film, OTT, and gaming companies.

Drawing helps, but the course is structured to train students in drawing, design, and digital tools; dedication and interest in storytelling and visuals are more important than being an expert artist at entry.

Yes, most programmes build fundamentals in 2D animation and progressively introduce 3D animation and VFX so that students can choose to specialise while still understanding the full pipeline.
