Two days Workshop on “Industrial Robotics”
Robotics Club of the Department of Semiconductor Engineering, School of Engineering Management and Research (SEMR), D Y Patil International University, successfully organized a 2-Day Industrial Robotics Workshop on 31st March & 1st April 2026 for enthusiastic students.
The workshop was designed to provide participants with a strong foundation in industrial robotics and automation, combining both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. It began with sessions on different types of motors, controllers, and basic robotic operations, followed by practical exposure to robotic arm movements and programming fundamentals using C++.
On the second day, students actively engaged in solving real-world industrial problem statements, including welding of a two-rectangle pattern, execution using block coding concepts, and programming a verification-based pick and place robot. These activities helped students enhance their problem-solving skills and gain practical insights into industrial applications of robotics.
A total of 50 students were divided into groups for hands-on sessions, where they collaboratively worked on coding tasks and operated robotic systems, making the learning process interactive and effective.
The workshop was smoothly coordinated under the guidance of Club Monitor Mrs. B. Lakshmipraba, along with the support of faculty and staff members of the Semiconductor Engineering Department, ensuring a successful and enriching experience for all participants
