We are delighted to share that the Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Engineering Management and Research (SoEMR), DYPIU, successfully organized a hands-on workshop on “Process Design: Chemical Engineering from Classroom to Industry” in association with Attaquant Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., Pune on 24th March 2026 for SY students. The session was conducted by Ms. Pratiksha Chavare, Process Engineer from Attaquant Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., Pune who provided valuable insights into unit operations, unit processes, industry challenges, plant visualization, essential skills, and chemical engineering software tools. Students gained practical exposure to key design aspects including the development of block diagrams, process flow diagrams (PFD), process instrumentation diagrams (PID), and material & energy balance calculations for heat exchanger design. The workshop was effectively coordinated by Dr.Sunita Patil and Dr. Shailesh Ghodke, ensuring an enriching and interactive learning experience for all participants.
